At least it’s a proper pub

点评：This pub is slightly away from the main action on the road out of the village and situated next to the large car and coach park and public toilets and opposite the villages medieval church. It was the one establishment in Lavenham that was selling beer that most resembles a proper pub in my honest opinion. A Stoned floor and beamed bar area to the front and a larger lounge and dining area beyond. It also had a good array of outside seating to the front and an enclosed larger garden area to the back.
There were three pumps on the bar but only a quite average Sharps Atlantic was on for my visit, and this was another one where I got the feeling that the focus was on the food service during the summer months.
Lavenham is a lovely historic village but if you fancy a good pint of ale in a proper pub, then its best of luck with that then if my experience of my recent visit was anything to go by.
