Great first time in the snow close to Canberra

点评：We chose to visit Corin Forest with our young kids as a trip to the more popular snowfields at Perisher or Thredbo would've taken more than 3 hours and we didn't want to go through the hassle of potentially driving through snow. Corin Forest is situated only about 45 minutes out of Canberra and the roads are (apparently) cleared of snow if that ever eventuates. The day we went was sunny though so no snow along the windy drive there.
We paid for the tobogganing and snowplay, and hired a couple of toboggans. Our eldest child (12) wasn't so keen on the tobogganing so she decided to build snow animals in the snowplay area with her aunt. Our younger two (8 and 5) enjoyed the toboggan rides, especially the 8 year old. A session seems short at 1.5 hours but it ended up being the perfect amount of time, at least with my kids, since the youngest had enough after about an hour.
Overall, the kids enjoyed their first time in the snow (there was even a little flurry while we were up there) so I consider the visit, a success.
