点评：The ACT seems to believe Covid restrictions still need to be in place. Newsflash - the world has moved on and using this as an excuse to leave the campsite unstaffed is appalling. The staff we met who came in the daytime to sort bins and clean were great and appeared to be frustrated that the site is left unstaffed.
The consequence is that the 10 til 7 quiet time is unobserved. We had early starts and were kept awake by a group of 40-years-ish pseudo-professionals who carried on an unapolegetic intoxicated racket for out last two nights just metres from our tents - keeping myself and children awake for hours. Their kids and even adults seemed to think that being in our own camp area was fine - kids running through and an adult taking up residence next to our esky and table!! My kids were very unimpressed especially as the group dumped their 10 or so children at the opposite end of the campsite so they could get on with their night time drunken revelry and these kids then implemented their own anti-social brand of activities on neighbours that end.
We even heard this group of childish adults comment that, with the site being unstaffed you could come in and just camp for free. It means, someone books online and pays the fees, then rock up to find a bunch of anti-social freeloaders have taken the spot they booked. Terrible system.
The toilet seats were just aluminium and needed cleaning prior to every use although the showers were great and automatically limited to a 3-minute use. The road going past the campsite became what sounded like a race track for cars and bikes each of the 4 nights we were there so, having chosen to bush camp for the peace and quiet, if it wasn't for the idiots next to us, then it was the sound of engines revcing through the night that made us wish we had just camped in Canberra itself. We would never go back and would recommend look elsewhere. My kids did love the rope swing and swimming in the river.
