Fort Langley National Historic Site的点评
点评：I had been visiting the Vancouver area from the UK and my friend suggested visiting Fort Langley. I was staying in Surrey so I got the bus to Langley and then got a bus from there to Fort Langley. The bus runs from Langley every 20 minutes so it was really easy to get to. From the bus stop it was only a short walk to the former fort.
It did not cost much to enter and I had an enjoyable wander around the site taking in the different features and the buildings. It was challenging to watch some of the presentations about how the British had come in and got the First Nations to take on their culture.
There is one building that is the original structure. The rest of the buildings are reconstructed but seem to give an accurate representation of what life was like for the first settlers of the area.
The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the gift shop was shut on the day I visited. Apart from that it was very interesting, challenging and educational.
