点评:Beautiful place to visit, tucked away in the jungle. Staff are lovely and welcome you warmly and give you all the information. Lunch provided is very tasty. It is important to know you can no longer bathe the elephants (we were happy with this) and they said they were phasing out feeding them. You get nice and close to the elephants as they wonder around. The project do not own these elephants which we didn't know. They pay a monthly rental fee for each elephant. The owners can take them to festivals or whatever they want before returning them. One of the keepers also still carries a bull hook which the ladies running the project stressed they do not like and want it to stop. So whilst I can appreciate what they are doing and the elephants seem to be well cared for, it was a bit disappointing that they can still be used against their will and are chained at night to keep them safe. The owners of the business claim they are looking to build something like a barn on the property for them to go to at night and no longer need chains. As always, it all costs money so visitors help with this by buying tickets and souvenirs.
