Great times watching sprint car racing. Avoid troll Holly at the pit gate ticket office.

点评：We traveled here from Little Rock Arkansas for the 2025 Knoxville Nationals sprint car races. We loved the entire experience except for the horrible troll Holly at the pit ticket office. I have visited many race tracks over the years and I have never experienced such rudeness as Holly was dishing out on Saturday. Enough said, we didn’t let it ruin our overall experience. This was a bucket list experience for myself for sure. You just gotta do it! There are not many places to stay in the area on a big race weekend but Des Moine is about 25 minutes away and there is the quaint town of Pella about 15 minutes east of the speedway. If you are visiting the area for the Nationals just give yourself plenty of time to get around. It’s pretty organized but there are thousands of people so just take your time. The food at the track is good and fairly reasonable but we suggest getting a real sit down meal before the races and relax a bit. You can take the shuttle that runs around the area in a loop rather than fight the traffic jam with so many people cruising around. Our favorite food was located just outside the track near the handicapped parking under a tent. The Cattlemen's Association was cooking ribeye steak sandwiches with a corn on the cob dunked in vat of butter.
