A 1000-year-old Shiva temple
Shri Ambreshwar Shiva Temple, Ambernath的点评
点评：It’s a 1000 year temple. That in itself was an amazing reason to visit it. We left from western suburb, Mumbai around 6:40 am and were there in 2 hrs. Best to leave early to avoid weekday traffic. There is no entry fee.
The carved stone is ravaged by time. The Nandi statue also desecrated. But inspite of it all, the beauty and calm around the temple is welcoming. Luckily or unluckily, not a lot of tourists, so darshan is not hurried.
The sanctum santorum is down a few steep, and narrow steps and slippery. So not the best thing for elderly people with mobility issues.
After praying and taking Prasad, we sat in the compound for sometime. It was quiet and peaceful.
I hope authorities take care of it. It has such potential. So, before it becomes too famous, visit it and enjoy the relative peace.
