Overpriced and Overhyped – Average Quality at Luxury Prices

点评：Visited Celuk Village with my wife, expecting a unique and traditional Balinese shopping experience. While it’s promoted as a center for silver and gold craftsmanship, what we actually got was a tourist trap with aggressive sales tactics and wildly inflated prices — we’re talking 4–5x higher than what you’d pay elsewhere, even after bargaining.
To make matters worse, the quality of the items is just average. It’s nowhere near the premium level that would justify the prices. Some pieces even felt mass-produced. We felt more like walking wallets than welcome guests.
If you’re looking for better value, we highly recommend checking out Bali Collection in Nusa Dua — much more transparent pricing, friendlier vibe, and better overall quality.
Celuk might be worth a quick stop to look, but don’t feel pressured to buy. You’ll find better deals and better craftsmanship elsewhere in Bali.
