点评:I am a huge fan of Titanic. I love the history behind it, watched the movie dozens of times and have pretty much watched every documentary on the sinking of the Titanic that is out. I have been to the Pigeon Forge, TN location and this is the 2nd time coming to the Branson location. The great thing about the Titanic Museum is there is always something you missed the first time or something new. The addition of the Titanic Movie memorabilia room was so much fun. I was so excited to be able to see it this time. They have one of the actual door panels used in the movie, you know, the one that supposedly only Rose could fit on. After seeing the prop, I am a little skeptical about that! They also have the dress and coat that Rose wore at the end of the movie along with her lifejacket, signed by Kate Winslet and other props from the movie signed by the cast including Leo Decaprio. The staff is very knowledgeable in all things Titanic, and everyone was very friendly. The museum is an experience in itself and I will always be fascinated with all of the authentic artifacts from the wreckage and exhibits. You can touch an iceberg and see how long you can hold your hand in the frigid 28° water. There is also makeshift ship decks titled at different angles that you can climb on to see if you could have held on as the ship upended and a room that looks like you are actually standing on the deck of the ship the night it sank. They also give you a boarding pass with an actual passenger’s name and photo on it when you enter the museum. At the end, they have a wall of all the Titanic passengers where you can look up your passenger and see if they survived the sinking. There is also a really nice gift shop as you exit with all kinds of Titanic themed souvenirs. On a side note…you are not allowed to take photos on the lower level. But once you get upstairs to the 2nd floor you are allowed to take all the photos you like. I’m a photo girly and have always been disappointed you were not allowed to take photos in the past. I was excited to know you can now take photos on the 2nd floor which is where the movie memorabilia is located. This is definitely an attraction for adults or for adults with older children as there is a LOT of reading involved. It is definitely not an attraction I’d recommend for people with very young children.
