We had the oysters Kilpatrick and salt and pepper prawns entree. The oysters were fresh and juicy but my wife complained that some had not been cleaned properly when shucked as she got some grit. Also, the use of bbq sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce detracted from the traditional.
My prawns dish was generous with large fresh well cooked prawns and a great sweet chili/lime dipping sauce. Unfortunately the salt and pepper covering was very subtle and could have been stronger.
We shared the main of pappadale pasta with prawns and chorizo, in a sun dried tomato sauce, topped with goats cheese and Parmesan. In a word, yum! Generous, tasty meal. The pasta was a highlight, perfectly balanced with the sauce. We were glad we shared as the serving was generous.
Service was quick, although we were early . The number of booked tables shows the popularity.
