Much better than the average 'University Museum' - this could serve as any mid- to large city's flagship art museum

点评：Really pleased to have put this on the list. Large, varied collection with surprising strengths. Knocks your socks off that it's a University Museum, and as a free facility - just great. You don't generally see this selection of the heavy hitters 1875-1920 at this level, it's well selected and yes there are 'names' on display but the supporting cast is at the same level. "French Moderns, Monet to Matisse" - see this it ends 1/4/26. There's some regionalism too, but even here this is good stuff, not haphazard - and def not 'the Highwaymen' level (no offense). Samplings of Asia, Africa, thoughtful more modern stuff, photograph, textiles. This is a museum I would return to - even if I might check what currently on first. Oh yes, it's FREE. (And free to park too - at least one lot over anyway)
