A perfect introduction to Zermatt
Summit Ski & Snowboard School的点评
点评：My wife and I, along with our two sons were first time visitors to Zermatt. We hired Summit Ski & Snowboard school to introduce us to the mountain. Rob Greatbach and Amalie Knudsen were wonderful guides. Right from the start, we headed to the top of Rothorn and went on a long run. Rob and Amalie were able to discern our skiing skills and adapted accordingly. We skied much of the Sunnegga and Riffelberg area to the tune of 15,000 vertical feet before lunch. They then gave us pointers for the afternoon and the next day.
Two days later, Rob took us to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and into Italy. The tram was having difficulties so Rob adapted and we got some great runs in while others were waiting for the lift. Once we went into the Italian side, he took us from Valtourenche to Breuil-Cervina from top to bottom. It was an amazing and full day - 30,400 vertical feet!
Rob is a wealth of knowledge. Along with learning the mountains, the told us about the geology of the area, about glaciers and how they have changed over time and more. He knew all the names of the peaks and stories about them. Rob is flexible, creative, resourceful and a great conversationalist.
We recommend Rob, Amalie and Summit Ski & Snowboard school highly.
