Great gardens, disappointing overpriced cafe .
Wakehurst的点评
点评：Gardens still as lovely as ever. Lots of hard work going on checking & repairing various lanterns for the evening Glow Wild. Was nice walking round with gentle music being played.
Good to see part of the house open too...would be great if they could get more of it open. The gardening teams are all friendly & happy to engage.
Now for the negatives, which was the reason I didn't give full stars.
We went into the cafe. The pizza part was shut. No problem. However I found the cafe pricing pretty steep for what you get. I opted for soup ( very nice) of which you get 3 small ladles with bread ...which turned out to be HALF a slice of dried out bread
for £6.95 and certainly not served with a smile. In fact all the cafe team looked fed up. My friend went for a pre packed chicken wrap, which turned out to be soggy and certainly not worth another £6.95. Was also a bit surprised to see the few cakes & sweet options all uncovered next to queue with various coughing going on.
Parking costs very high...which generally stops me visiting, as being a National Trust member, 2 hours would cost £8. Fortunately my friend has become a Wakehurst member.
I have considered getting another Wakehurst membership when NT expires. The gardens are beautiful but the cafes have put me off a bit today, although nothing to stop you taking your own picnic in warner seasons.

售价6.95英镑，而且服务员脸上也没有笑容。事实上，咖啡馆的所有员工看起来都很疲惫。我的朋友点了一份预包装的鸡肉卷，结果发现鸡肉卷已经泡软了，绝对不值6.95英镑。更让我惊讶的是，几块蛋糕和甜点竟然都敞开着，摆在排队的人群旁边，而且还有咳嗽声。
停车费非常高……这通常让我打消了去那里的念头，因为作为国民信托会员，停车两小时就要8英镑。幸好我的朋友是韦克赫斯特庄园的会员。
我考虑过国民信托会员到期后再办一张韦克赫斯特庄园的会员卡。花园很美，但今天的咖啡馆让我有点儿提不起兴致，不过在天气暖和的时候，自带野餐倒是没问题。
