点评:We stopped here after a spectacular trip up Corbiere Lighthouse. I think we’d assumed it would be bigger having previously visited lavender farms in France and the UK. It’s very small but has a nice little cafe. I’m glad there was no charge or you could have been left slightly disappointed. The garden was lovely with chickens roaming around but the bottling shed and how the lavender is produced were shabby and unkempt.
Much more could be made of this establishment and perhaps demonstrations given instead of a film in a loop but nowhere to actually sit and watch it. It was unclear how the lavender is actually harvested and couldn’t see how the products were made on site so assume they are sent somewhere else for making into all the shampoos, shower gels, room sprays etc.
We had a lovely cup of tea and a scone and purchased some products. There was only one field of lavender to view and half was established with the other half looking like it was more recently planted. Maybe some signage explaining would be helpful.
Still worth a visit.
