The only place for authentic Ukrainian cognac collections in Odessa

点评：This premises houses an extensive collection of beautiful Ukrainian cognac of different ages and bottle designs. I was on a day tour in Odessa from Chisinău. Unfortunately, when I arrived in the late afternoon the museum was closed for the day, leaving only the shop open. I know they have tours run in English, which would include tasting of certain cognac depending on the package bought with pricing ranging from UAH250 to UAH1,200 (approximately from USD6 to USD30). Shustoff (or Shustov) is a truly authentic cognac brand established as early as in 1863 in the Odessa region, with a deep-rooted history for over 160 years involving the use of French winemaking techniques alongside local grape varieties and terroir to create a unique Ukrainian identity. I was fascinated by the cognac collection of this brand, aged from a few years to a few decades, on display in the premises. More importantly, the bottles were largely priced pretty competitively when compared to cognac produced in other European countries with a similar number of years of ageing. This place is certainly a hidden gem for liquor or cognac lovers. Even for people who do not drink at all, like myself, I still strongly recommend them to make a visit to get to understand and experience the Ukrainian viticulture from all angles.
