St. Winefride's Well & Shrine的点评
点评：Ok so it's £2 entry fee, really going to break the bank ? but it costs a £1000+ per week to maintain the site, and the entry fee doesn't cover that cost. This is a religious site akin to Lourdes and yes there are religious items to be bought in the shop but there is also a lovely little museum giving more detailed history of the shrine.
Bathing. There are two quite basic changing cubicles and I would suggest wearing a swimming costume with a long ( just above knee length) t-shirt over the top. Take your time getting in....it's cool but get used to it. I completely submerged myself and it was fine though I do cold water swim a year round.
We did feel something spiritual about the water and the occasion, that made us feel perhaps warmer that we might otherwise have felt.
There is a café in the church just up the hill, which is now a community centre but also worth exploring.
