Wonderful, enlightening tour and professionally managed

点评：In early March I went on the City Tour with Hasan's team and enjoyed it so much that I booked the photography tour as well as the Sonargaon, Old Capital and Island Trip. On all occasions it felt like I was part of the scene, integrating with the people of Dhaka in a very authentic way, enjoying their company and watching the daily activities of this fascinating city. Although I looked like the typical tourist with backpack and camera I never felt worried about my safety. Wandering with my guide Piku through the bazaars and markets was enlightening and so very different from where I live. I was delighted too that when I mentioned that I had found something interesting Piku would quickly offer to take a short detour to another site that he thought might interest me. That's how we came to visit the area for engine restoration and the printing area where we wandered through production plants to watch very old printing presses turn out advertising material. The Island Trip was total immersion into Bangaldesh culture. We met three boys who chatted away about soccer as we toured the community. I stayed in a hotel for the first week and then in an Airbnb. I found it exciting to wander alone around the streets in the late evening, shopping for food and bargaining with street vendors for items such as shirts and shoes. While the country is going through a phase of re-alignment I didn't feel that it was affecting the safety of tourists. On a couple of occasions, when entering a monument or palace, the security guard would take the admission fee and then ask to have a selfie taken with me. At no time did anyone demand money or get angry about being in my pictures. I'd go back again without hesitation.
