A Disappointing Stop at Café Sidi Chaabane
My recent visit to the iconic Café Sidi Chaabane in Sidi Bou Said, with its famously stunning views, was unfortunately marred by incredibly poor service. My girlfriend and I arrived extremely thirsty, and despite the cafe being relatively empty, getting a simple large bottle of water proved to be an ordeal.
Upon ordering a large water, we were immediately pressured by the staff to order more, even before we'd had a chance to quench our initial thirst. This pushy attitude was irritating. What was worse, it took a staggering 20 minutes for our water to arrive. To top it off, they initially tried to bring two small bottles, despite our clear request for a large one, which we had to reiterate.
The persistent nagging and the extremely slow, incorrect service completely soured our desire to stay. We lost all interest in ordering anything else. After finally receiving and paying for our water, we promptly left. While the panoramic view is undeniably breathtaking, the unacceptable service from the staff entirely overshadowed it, turning what should have been a relaxing stop into a frustrating one.
