点评：I had been planning this trip for almost a year and was so excited when I could finally book it.
I booked a return trip for March 5th and as a special treat to myself, booked first class.
The views from the panoramic windows are phenomenal. As you slowly begin the ascent you see how drastically the scenery changes. Reaching certain points on the trip a summary is given explaining details of the particular point. There were a few points of the outward journey I missed photo opportunity wise But didn't worry too much, just assumed I would get them on the return leg. What was nice was that you could move around the carriage for different photo shots. After a 4 hour journey we arrived in Tirano, and after a quick lunch the train began its return journey to Chur.......but after a few minutes we came to a stop. A train had broken down further up the line, meaning our trip was cancelled. So much for my photo opportunities!!!.
We were taken to the next available station where everyone was put onto buses to get us to yet another station. Where we then had to get another 2 trains.
I do understand that these things happen, but no mention of a refund was made, and I am unable to find a mention of it anywhere on the website. I was lucky I had done the outward leg, but for many on the train it was just a single journey.
I'm still glad I did it, and have so many wonderful memories. And would recommend it to everyone, but just be prepared for any eventualities.
