点评：Mirissa Beach is hands-down one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, and one I include on virtually every southern coastal tour I design as a private guide. The crescent-shaped bay, fringed with tall coconut palms and crystal-clear turquoise water, is stunning at any time of day — but particularly magical at sunset.
What makes Mirissa special is that it offers something for every type of traveller. Couples enjoy the romantic atmosphere and beautiful beach bars. Adventure seekers can join world-class whale watching tours (November to April is peak blue whale season — the best on earth). Surfers find decent waves on the western end of the beach. And food lovers are spoilt with fresh seafood restaurants lining the shore.
I always recommend arriving early morning to enjoy the beach before crowds build, or coming at golden hour for the legendary Mirissa sunsets. The famous coconut tree hill viewpoint (a short walk from the main beach) offers a classic Instagram shot overlooking the bay.
