点评：This is something completely different—and honestly, one of the most memorable parts of the trip. It’s not modern, flashy, or fast. In fact, it feels like you’ve stepped back into the 1920s and they’ve just decided to keep it running ever since.
The cabins are small, the ride is slow, and everything about it feels original—which is exactly why it’s brilliant. You’re not just going up a mountain, you’re experiencing a proper piece of transport history.
It won’t be for everyone—if you want sleek and modern, this isn’t it—but if you appreciate heritage and engineering, it’s gold.
Verdict: A hidden gem. Quirky, historic, and far more interesting than most modern cable cars. Reasonably priced, and not overcrowded either. The staff are brilliant, really helpful and genuinely enthusiastic.
You can easily spend a whole day walking at the summit, or finding a bench to sit and just watch the world go by.
