Little Huson Cave Park的点评
点评：These caves are magnificent! We had so much fun exploring them. The river and the colouring of the rock makes for beautiful pictures. They can be slippery so wear appropriate shoes. The trail down to the collapsed arch is not maintained so be prepared for a bit of overgrowth. The trail down to the initial river caves is easy - just a bit steep in parts. The stairway toward the end was broken when we were there - looks like it washed out or was toppled by a tree - but there is a path around that is easy to navigate, if a bit muddy.
Your GPS might lie to you about the location. Both our in-car and our apple GPS were wrong. There are very good directions online which I have copied here with apologies to the original writer (Trip Advisor won’t allow me to link because of their promotion policies):
-Exit Highway 19 at Zeballos Junction
-Stay on this road for 2.8 km then turn right at the fork in the road
-After 350m turn right onto Atluck Forest Service Road
-After 2.7 km turn left to stay on the AFSR
- Keep left at the next junction to stay on the AFSR
- 350m after that junction turn right onto HU100
- Continue for 2.3km and you will arrive at the parking lot
You should see signs with arrows pointing out which way the caves are, although one sign is broken and is just a red arrow.
The road was mostly okay (it is gravel; expect potholes). Very close to the parking lot there are a few really big grooves in the road. Just go slow and you’ll be fine.
