Heron Hill Tasting Room on Canandaigua Lake的点评
点评：A family wedding brought us to Canadaigua NY. The area was lovely and since it was a bit of a ride from home (6hrs) we opted to take I. Some of the local spots. On our list was Heron Hills tasting room
We made a reservation online because it was Memorial Day weekend and we were concerned we’d be shut out of the wine tasting.
We booked the last wine tasting of the day and also were able to participate in the live music outside at 6pm.
There was a food purveyor selling pizza and we ordered 2 pizzas. Unfortunately the pizza sales exceeded their supplies and after waiting 45 minutes we were told that the ran out of the pizza we ordered and only had gluten free. While this change to menu was not a problem. The problem was we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the pizza. I’m not sure if the pizza sales were part of the winery or a stand alone enterprise
The musician a man/woman combo were great. The ambience was lovely. Tented seating w a view of the winery and vineyard.
We left with some take home bottles and had a great visit. The wine itself varies in complexity and sweetness. They have two tasting offerings one is a reserve and the other is standard. We tried both I enjoyed the reserve offerings.
