点评：The Mines of Spain Recreation Area is a beautiful spot for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. The hiking trails were awesome — well-marked, well-kept, and offered a great variety of terrain. I hiked the Saux and Fox Trail, which gave me quite a workout with its hills and winding paths through the woods and prairie.
The highlight for me was stumbling onto the overlook — such a nice surprise! It gave sweeping views of the Mississippi River and surrounding bluffs, and it was the perfect place to pause and soak in the scenery.
Overall, the park offers a great mix of exercise, fresh air, and rewarding views. Whether you’re after a challenging hike, a peaceful walk, or just a scenic spot to take in nature, the Mines of Spain is well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the trails.
