Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Produces Great Wine.
Burrowing Owl Estate Winery的点评
点评：Burrowing Owl Estate Winery has long been a favorite B.C. wine producer of mine.
Two of my longtime friends, who lived in Vancouver for two years, almost two decades ago, also became fans of this winery, while living in B.C.
They came out for a lightning visit to B.C. this June & it was immediately clear what fine wine we would be including in our wine drinking line -up to celebrate our joyous reunion.
Burrowing Owl of course.
And that we did with two delicious bottles, both with nice age on them, which gave these well-crafted wines additional depth & nuance.
Both its Chardonnay 2011 & its Sauvignon Blanc 2012 were sublime.
Burrowing Owl takes its name from this particular owl species, which the winery has long financially supported the conservation of.
All round Burrowing Owl is an outstanding example of what is produced in B.C.’s Okanagan valley, & of the mindful actions some of its wineries are associate with.
Burrowing Owl wines are on many a good wine list in fine eateries across B.C., as well as stocked by good private liquor stores across the province.
The carefully sourced Ucluelet Liquor Store in the west coast ocean village of Ucluelet, known to locals affectionately as “Ukee” is one such place.
Its aged 2011 Burrowing Owl Chardonnay is priced @ 89.60 $ & its Burrowing Owl Sauvignon Blanc is priced @ 75.95$.
I can highly recommend these Burrowing Owl wines for special reunions, & indeed for all special & joyous occasions.
