Good add on trail to a meadow in front of the Roethbach Falls

点评：This is another nature wonder to see when visiting Konigsee and Obersee. Once you arrive at the southern end of Obersee on foot, there are additional trails you can take for those seeking out longer hikes through the Berchtesgaden National Park. A short, 30 minute walk to the south leads you to a meadow from which there is an impressive cliffside with a 400 metre waterfall spilling over its side.
We recently completed this short hike from Obersee in September. Unfortunately the sun was behind the mountains, preventing light from brightening the falls. Also, not a lot of water falling at the time of our visit. The falls are likely more impressive during spring months and after rains. However, you could still see them pretty well from the meadow. The trail is a fair bit of uphill walking but not difficult. There were plenty of families with children there on the day we visited.
