点评:My wife, 2 kids, son in law and I “climbed” Pendle Hill on the early May bank holiday weekend. We tackled it steep side first up the stepped route, my wife and I are in our early 60’s the kids are late 20’s, needless to say they left us early doors!! It is an extremely difficult walk up there, we had to stop to catch our breath countless times, good sturdy walking shoes needed I would recommend. Once at the summit the effort was well worth it, the 360 degree views are really quite breathtaking, we were fortunate it was a gorgeous day but it felt 10 degrees colder at the top than the bottom so don’t underdress even though you get very warm going up. Coming down wasn’t as steep but a little gravelly so watch your footing, would do it again in a heartbeat but only in decent weather, wouldn’t attempt it in the winter months,
