麦基诺岛国家公园的点评
点评：Mackinac Island was amazing. We didn't know what to expect but we enjoyed a glorious day. It was a beautiful fall day. The sky was blue and the sun was shining.
We took the ferry from Mackinaw City. Upon arrival we took the carriage tour. We disembarked the carriage at the Grand Hotel. Although we were not guests at the hotel, we were able to walk the grounds and entered the main lobby where we were able to walk throughout the first floor and the lower level where the gift shop and other stores are found. It is a beautiful place. There is also an ice cream parlor but we did not partake of the ice cream sundaes for $17!
We walked back to town stopping along the way to admire the beauty of quaintness of the island. We rented bicycles which we rode around the perimeter of the island...8.2 miles of sheer beauty. Upon our return from our ride, we visited a few stores and had dinner at Mighty Macs Hamburgers. Then it was time to return to Mackinaw City on the ferry. One day is plenty of time to see the whole island but staying on the island would be enjoyable as well. As for staying at the Grand Hotel...that would be wonderful if you don't mind spending $600-$800 per night. Some rooms are even higher! I think we'll just come for the day.
