Modern monumental edifice that was opened in 1928 and built by the Pauline family.
Tempio San Paolo的点评
点评：Whilst the Temple was opened in 1925 various elements of the building were not completed until later dates. The facade was completed in 1964 whilst the white marble monument on the main altar titled "Gloria di San Paolo" was placed there in 1946.
The facade has a three storey high arched porch with embedded columns either side that separate it from the three storey buildings also on either side that each have nine windows (three on each level). Above the entablature on these buildings are six statues, three on each side. The impressive bronze doors in the portal have reliefs depicting the life of St Paul and are topped by five empty niches above which there is a rose window.
Internally the temple has a single nave in the layout of a Greek Cross with eight chapels, four of which are in the transept (two on each side). There is a marble floor inlay in the centre of the cross as well as numerous stained glass windows high up around the nave.
The most impressive feature though is the high altar with the massive white carrera marble sculpture of "Gloria di San Paolo" by Virgilio Audagna.
