点评：We worked with Ines Bestos at Tour Tailors. (I don't know how we got connected, she emailed me, perhaps just internet connection). We gave her our travel dates and places we wanted to visit. Once she had that information she put together an itinerary. We gave her a general price range, and locations. She then sent us a detailed itinerary, working around plans we had made with friends in some locations. When we arrived in Lyon and had to connect with a TGV train... there was a driver waiting for us as we exited the airport. He took us to the train depot. Our hotel was right in the center of the old city, very nice, and with an amazing breakfast and little bar. Perfect! As this was our first stop, there was a box waiting for us with a printed detailed itinerary, tickets for trains, and for pre-arranged tours. Everything was there. She arranged a car rental that came with a GPS unit pre-programmed for where we were gong. In Florence, she arranged another hotel... excellent, in an ancient building but all new inside with attentive staff. She arranged an all day tour to Chianti region that turned out to be excellent, lunch at the winery and personal tasting. And did she arrange the pounding rain and thunder while we were inside having lunch?? We had two walking tours in Florence with local guides that spoke good English. The only way to really see things, as Florence was packed with tourists! We took a train to Parma, and another perfect hotel and tour. She had several dinner recommendations also. Then to Milan and another great place to stay-- just 2 blocks from the square, the cathedral, and huge shopping 17th century mall.
We have traveled before, always planning things ourselves. But now we are older and having this personal service was a great way to go. I would highly recommend this. Lots of communication throughout the planning process, and even a phone number to contact during our travels, with an attentive person who spoke English. Thanks guys!
