Chimpanzee Trekking Experience- Breathtaking, Exhilarating, Amazing, Everything!!!

点评：Kibale Forest National Park Chimpanzee Trekking - this experience was a once in a lifetime experience. We arrived early in the morning for our briefing with Florence and got told about all of the do's and don'ts. I was a little hesitant at the beginning as there was about 30 people that showed up at the same time and was worried that we were all going together however we were broken down into smaller groups of 7 people.
We trekked into the forest for about 20 minutes before we saw our first sighting of chimpanzees and this was the first time I had seen primates in the wild and it was amazing, scaring, exhilarating, breathtaking all of the above. Hearing a chimpanzee call for his family and bang on a tree to communicate is the scariest thing Ive ever witnessed ( I did not know chimpanzees were as loud as they were). We got to follow the chimp to his family and once we caught up with them observed them for an hour. We did the normal trekking experience but after doing a gorilla habituation experience I wish I would have signed us up for that one.
Once our hour was up we started walking in where we were still able to see chimpanzees all throughout the park on our walk back. It truly was an amazing experience.
Once we got back to the headquarters there is a place for you to order lunch and drinks before venturing out on your next adventure, you get your certificate for chimpanzee trekking (take that photo with it) and say goodbye to your team of guides.
Highly recommend doing the chimpanzee trekking experience.
