The Manor House Hotel Spa的点评
点评：I was gifted an afternoon with lunch and a treatment at the spa. On arrival, I was impressed by the beauty of the buildings and received a friendly and efficient welcome.
Lunch was first, and this was in the hotel’s main restaurant. The menu was a surprise as it was not a typical ‘spa’ menu, more of a hearty pub lunch style with most mains accompanied by chips and a selection of high calorie desserts. I think it is best to approach a spa day here as a really nice treat rather than a healthy activity! The food was well cooked and presented and the waitstaff were pleasant.
At the spa you are given a robe and towel but use your own footwear which is good as the usual spa slippers are massive. The pool is not vast but the space is soothing and the large video screen at the end of the pool scrolls through tranquil scenes. There is a jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna, all of which were spotless. My only issue was that the loungers in the conservatory next to the pool are rather too close and numerous for the space.
A 50 minute treatment was included and I had an excellent massage from Ellie. You can select from soft, medium or firm pressure and also whether you want a quiet time or a chat with your therapist. A comprehensive facial followed the massage - a range of different potions and lotions, plus a scalp massage, left me feeling relaxed and at least a couple of months younger!
Overall, this was a lovely afternoon and I felt properly pampered.
