Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery Experience的点评

Absolutely incredible tour and easily one of the best distillery experiences we’ve ever had. We’ve done several distillery tours, including multiple stops along the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky, and the Tullamore D.E.W. tour stands right up there with the very best of them.
Our tour guide, Brian, along with Ray, were fantastic. Brian was probably the most knowledgeable guide we’ve ever had on a distillery tour. He mentioned having a degree in physics, and once you hear him explain the science behind whiskey production, that definitely makes sense. He was able to explain the entire process in incredible detail while still keeping it interesting and easy to understand.
The tour takes you through the actual distilling and maturation areas, and one of the highlights was doing a tasting right inside the barrel warehouses. Being surrounded by aging whiskey while tasting it made for a really memorable experience.
The entire facility is extremely modern, clean, and impressive. Another huge plus is that they keep the tour groups small, around 10 people or fewer, so the experience feels much more personal and you actually have the opportunity to ask questions.
If you’re traveling between Dublin and Galway, absolutely make this a stop. Even if it’s a little out of your way, it’s worth making the trip specifically for the tour. We would highly recommend Tullamore D.E.W. and would absolutely do it again.
