Shining Sea Bikeway的点评
点评：To get in my steps for the day, I opted to walk along the 4-mile stretch of the Shining Sea Bikeway that walkers and bikers may travel between the Steamship Authority Palmer Avenue Parking Lot and Woods Hole Terminal. The first half of the walk was spectacular on a warmish October day that followed a nor'easter.
But when I encountered a DETOUR about half way into my journey (likely due to damage caused by the major storm), I had to pay close attention as I was forced to hug the narrow, shoulderless roads that run parallel to the Bikeway. Warnings posted sooner would have been helpful and may have compelled me to accrue my daily steps elsewhere.
Except for the unexpected detour, I would have rated the Bikeway a 5. This well-maintained, paved trail is a treasure along a beautiful stretch of the Atlantic. Falmouth has created an incredible place to journey on foot and on wheels in any season.
