点评:We don't drive along the 1A Highway between Calgary and Banff much, but recently we did, and noticed that a gorgeous historic chapel that had burned down was now rebuilt. It's well worth a visit if you are into things historic, or, also, if you like to get a taste of the prairie landscape. I don't know if the inside of the chapel is actually open on weekends - their website doesn't say so. But externally it is open as far we can tell daylight hours. They have excellent information panels about the Reverend and the nation he served in the late 1800's. The chapel itself has been recreated a couple of times, once from neglect, then later a fire, but is quite gorgeous sitting there on the prairie the way it does. Historically, the cabin next to it is likely more authentic and original, but not as splendid. Getting here is minor issue, in that the 1A Highway near this area is barely two lanes, no shoulder, so it can make for white-knuckle driving if the road ever gets busy. Also, they are doing major road improvements in Cochrane to the east. The shortest route, with the least pain, might be the highway connection from the Trans Canada at the Morley Travel Centre, about 3 km's. Still, I would highly recommend this attraction!
