点评：We were lucky enough to get a guided tour by one of village guards, through the remnants of the traditional village behind the shops, including the temple and chiefs house. He told us about all the things that used to be there and how cov*d and mandates forced the villages to stay home. The shop tenants couldn’t afford rent and had to close up. The restaurant has fallen apart and needs a lot repairs. The jungle has practically taken over and with the village and buildings vacant the place has became a ruin. There’s a huge project to get it back up and running. With the new owner looking to put a McDonald’s and other western ideas into the location for “business”. Instead support the hard working locals and their traditions, they’re working hard for the little money they make and putting their hearts and souls into the project to bring it back to life. Support the locals shop here and buy what you can. Donate whatever you can. Help bring this place back to its former glory!
