Nosy Mangabe Special Reserve的点评
点评：We came to the beautiful island of Nosy Mangabe through a week tour organised by VisitMasoala (they were fantastic). We came from Masoala now and we arrived at the campsite next to the beach. The campsite is basic as you sleep in tents (but covered for the rain), but that makes it a wonderful experience. You have several tracks you can walk, from easy to hard and you can find some great animal species.
There are huge leaf-tailed geckos, some great chameleons, nice jumping mantellas, and some cool snake species like the Madagascar tree boa for the reptiles and amphibians, but the highlight are the lemurs. Also birding is pretty good on this island.
There are huge chances to find the white-fronted brown lemurs, even close to the campsite. The most famous lemur here is the black-and-white ruffed lemurs and they are mostly found higher up in the mountains, but during a bit rougher hike you can find them.
You can also do a night hike where you can find bats, dwarf lemurs, mouse lemurs and if you are very lucky the wild aye aye (one of the best places after Farankaraina) and a greater hedgehog tenrec. Overall this is a great stop for 1 night!
