点评:Having lived about 20 miles from Wigston for decades, we were never aware of the museums existence until we met on of the volunteers whilst on holiday in Suffolk
We visited today (Sunday) and expected to be there for about 30-40 mins
However we arrived at 2:15 and departed 4:30 utterly fascinated by the equipment and history, bought to life by a small band of very knowledgeable volunteers
From the buildings origins in the early 1700’s and its journey to 1929 when all production stopped, every conversation was a revelation
Fascinated to be able to try some of the smaller equipment and seeing larger 200yr old machines being operated
The museum is just as time left it in 1929, untouched
Finished with tea and cakes and a walk around the original Victorian Garden
Thank you to all the volunteers at this valuable site
