点评：This was, unfortunately, my worst tubing experience. The biggest issue: this place has no real plan to help in urgent situations like sudden thunderstorms. Actually, they will attempt to gaslight you based on whats on the radar, instead of admitting they already received calls on the river about dangerous conditions and not even walk outside to see the thunder and lightning storm while it was there.
After being dropped off, it took nearly an hour just to swim out of the let-off area before even getting into the current. By then, torrential rain, lightning, and thunder had started. We waited about 30 minutes, got back in, and the storms continued. I called multiple times, but was told “we don’t see it on the radar” and that even if it thundered and poured, the only option was to hurry back because they had no way of helping us. I even asked them to just step outside and look — the storm was obvious.
What made this worse is that while I was calling, they continued sending more groups out, at least three more loads of kayakers and rafters, even as lightning and downpours were ongoing. The full trip ended up taking over 5 hours in unsafe, miserable conditions.
On the river, it felt dangerous. Lightning would pause just long enough for us to get back in, then start again. Temps dropped quickly, and we had no paddles or way to control the tubes. Thankfully, another family with rafts let us hold on, which was the only reason we made it downstream safely.
By the end, the company sent ATVs near the exit, but that was little help after hours of exposure. When we got back, there was no concern, no apology, just a couple of towels tossed at us.
Bottom line: This business does not have a safety plan for storms and will not come out to assist you. Worse, they kept sending customers out into dangerous weather long after it was clear conditions were unsafe. Terrible customer service, zero care for guest safety.
