Wanted to Like - Nice Potential - Just Wasn't There at Time of Visit

点评：Was in town for another event but had a few hours to explore area. Stopped by the zoo to fill some time. It ended up being a short period of time. As a fan of zoos and seeing animals was really hoping to take them in.
The park was well laid out and had nice walking paths around zoo. It is small but then what to expect for a free smaller town zoo. There were some nice photo opportunities if you had kids with various animals/statues, etc. There was also a short nature trail off the main zoo paths. So, from the park standpoint itself it was nice even just wanting a liesurely stroll.
Based on that I really wanted to like. However, as a few other reviews have noted, maybe I was there on the wrong day. I didn't keep count but I would estimate 75% of the areas were empty. Some had signs up for an animal and others didn't. The birds were available for viewing such as Bald Eagle or Red Tailed Hawks.
If even half of the ones missing were there would have moved the rating up a notch or two. It seems the zoo has really nice potential, but wasn't quite there on the day of my visit due to lack of animals.
