Wine Tasting with a little bit of Whisky

点评：The Lambouri LionSpirit Winery & Distillery was part of the Contractour 100% Cyprus tour and a tasting of their wines was a must although, personally I was more interested in their Whisky products.
Large tasting hall with the host already geared up for us arriving and a number of their wines standing awaiting our tasting and comments.
The host was excellent and frankly, the guy should be on the stage. His presenting style was excellent, lots of knowledge imparted succinctly and when questions were asked, he was very skillful in providing answers which all could understand.
A total of 5 drinks were provided in the main tasting, however, my inquisitiveness about their whisky was answered when I was given a ‘private’ tasting of their spirit.
Was a bit disappointed to find that they buy Scottish Spirit then maturate it in Commandaria barrels rather than distilling the spirit themselves. Good that they were willing to disclose that information which made the visit all the more valuable for me.
Will be trying their wines in a couple of weeks when we get together with my family.
