Hello,
I visited Karbala during Arbaeen, and it was a really memorable experience for me. The city was incredibly crowded, and because of the huge number of visitors, the hygiene conditions were not always very good.
The only difficult part for me was getting close to Imam Hussain’s shrine. There were so many people that I couldn’t get as close as I wanted.
If you prefer a quieter and more comfortable pilgrimage, I would recommend visiting Karbala outside the busiest Arbaeen days. But honestly, even with all the crowds and difficulties, I think it is worth it. If you love Imam Hussain and Ahl al-Bayt, the atmosphere and experience are something special.
I also traveled with Mahedseir, a pilgrimage travel company, and they were very helpful throughout the trip. They helped me with the hotel, flight, and transportation, which made the journey much easier for me.
This was simply my personal experience, and I wanted to share it with anyone planning to visit Karbala.
I spent about $250 in total for the trip.
I stayed for 8 days.
