BYO Service- it’s the little things that add up to a lot

点评：After arriving on a hot day for lunch, we waited for cold water- that did not arrive- until requested. The waitress plonked down 2 glasses & bottle. When the drinks arrived the unopened beer can and cold glass was placed and she left. Let’s serve ourselves.
After taking the entree plates, she removed the dirty cutlery with sauce still on them, and placed them on the table to be used for mains. There was an artistic smear of sauce left on the table. For a $70 menu, the idea was that my dirty cutlery should be used again for main..
Conundrum- what if the sauce didn’t go with the mains? Do I clean the cutlery myself? Do I clean the sauce from the table?? Surely a mistake…but no other diners dirty cutlery was left behind on another table. Asking for clean cutlery was clearly unheard off. The staff looked as though we were asking for the world…
Whilst these are small things, they all added up to a low level of service that we had not been used to from Flame Hill. After being repeat customers, we will not repeat again.
