Excellent Beach Cabin!

点评：Amazing beach. Water was still cold so we didn't really swim. (Supposedly Pancake Bay is warmer and that was cold enough for us!). Some interesting hiking trails. We stayed at the Trapp Cabin which was excellent. The overall space, the huge deck with BBQ, dedicated fire pit (which we unfortunately couldn't use due to a fireban) and proximity to the beach were all superlatively great.
Cons: The cabin is just a touch smaller than I expected. Just barely big enough to house the murphy bed and pull-out couch bed. The pullout couch frankly sucked - it might be fine for kids or smaller people than me but as a larger guy the mattress is not thick enough to not feel the bar underneath. In hindsight I would have just put the mattress on the floor or brought an air mattress. The murphy bed was good, it had a nice foam mattress that was softer than my preference but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful but I found they were not very well informed about other nearby parks which I found a surprising at first, but this proved to be the case at other parks in the area too - likely a function of having a lot of newer seasonal staff. Not a big deal but something to consider if you are planning things as you go. Overall great stay, I would definitely come again.
