The exhibitions are well curated, with a mix of contemporary glass art and historical displays that help tell the story of Sunderland’s important role in the glass industry. The building itself is striking, with a glass floor you can walk across and great views of the River Wear.
There’s also a lovely café and a well-stocked gift shop full of unique glass items made by local artists.
