Worth a visit for the Marsh Harriers

点评：This is quite a small area but there is plenty to see, especially the Marsh Harriers. We had no problem finding the hides although the hides to the north are not that productive.
My biggest issue is outside the control of the National Trust and is down to the local dog walkers. We didn’t stay around the north hides very long but long enough to see two dog walkers with large dogs off lead in the nesting / chick season. To make matters worse there was what I assume to be paid dog walkers using the area, six dogs, only two on leads. There would appear to be plenty of areas to exercise dogs away from this special area so why they feel they can “abuse” a nature reserve is beyond me. As a visitor to Jersey, I can only confirm that this is problem wherever you go these days.

Nevertheless, if you enjoy bird watching, the area is well presented and the hide to the south has plenty to offer.
