Little Manitou Falls is the Best Attraction in the Park

点评：Visited both Amnicon Falls State Park and Pattison State Park on October 2nd. Hiked to both Big Manitou Falls and Little Manitou Falls in Pattison. Big Manitou Falls is a very short hike (perhaps 0.5 miles) which includes an underpass of County Hwy B. While there is an overlook of the falls the view is obstructed. You can take the Park Road to a separate parking lot for Little Manitou Falls but we opted to hike the 3.2 miles round trip trail. The trail is well maintained and includes two bridges. The first portion of the trail is along the river. After a mile you come to large wooden bridge and the trail continues on the opposite side of the river. Little Manitou Falls was my favorite attraction during our three-day minivacation to NW Wisconsin. During this weekday afternoon walk we were the only one at the falls.
Currently there is very little fall color in this area of the state. My guess is the peak will occur in another two-weeks. Would love to return in the Spring to observe both waterfalls.
