点评：If visiting the island of La Digue in the Seychelles, then going to spend some time at this fabulous beach is a must. The entrance to the beach is located inside the L’Union Estate, a nature reserve on the west coast of this small island. Entry is Charged at 150 Seychelles Rupees, (about £8) each and for that, you get a nice little numbered wristband to wear as proof that you have paid the fee. Continue on foot for a few more metres and you find yourself coming out through trees onto this absolutely astoundingly beautiful beach of soft white sand.
The shoreline is about 2 kilometres ( 1.2miles) long and is according to the position of the tide, may be broken up in places by the huge prehistoric looking granite boulders that are a major feature of this place. The turquoise waters are crystal clear and if you wish to venture in a short way it is quite easy to spot fish swimming around. You can also, if you with, be taken out in small glass bottomed dinghies that are towed out line astern, a little further offshore, to where you may even perhaps catch sight of a passing turtle.
If the tide is high it is not always possible to get round the front of the boulders, but there is a path through the shrubs and trees just at the back of the sands that follows the whole stretch of the beach. Along the path there are a couple of areas where you may rest and take refreshment from little stalls, or even do a spot of shopping. The beach is informal so to relax there you can take your own towels etc and put yourself down in any suitable spot that you choose.
Depending on how much time you have, or what you wish to do, a great time is to be had at this highly photogenic, tropical paradise.
