Great Wing-Foiling Instruction
Yuckite的点评
点评：I booked three sessions with Ángel and the folks at Yuckite in March of 2023. They are definitely the Real Deal!! Knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and above all great instructors who value safety.
I had a small amount of prior wing-foiling experience, but had never managed to consistently engage the foil. With the expert guidance of my instructor, Adrian, I was able to consistently make it up “on foil” by my third two-hour session for extended periods of time.
Location Stuff
Besides outstanding staff, Yuckite has a a few other great benefits.They are situated on the beach, but are also near a sheltered lagoon (that is chest deep throughout). This means that regardless of whether the winds are blowing onshore/sideshore or offshore, a beginner will have a safe spot in which to practice.
Logistics Stuff
This is wind-based sport, so you’re basically at the mercy of the weather. Ángel put a great deal of care into analyzing wind forecasts and would send a schedule the night before each practice session. It was a bit frustrating for some in our group not knowing their schedule until the night before, but the upside was we had solid practice conditions each day.
Miscellaneous Stuff
-Yuckite offers discounts if you book your hours in advance. I highly recommend taking advantage of the offer - I didn’t, but wish I had.
-Hotel Amor across the street offer solid meals if you need grab breakfast before your session (Yuckite offers meals during certain hours too). I didn’t stay with them, but their accommodations looked nice with easy access to Yuckite.
-If you do the lagoon, make sure to get cash in advance.
