富田农场的点评
点评：Farm Tomita is a 25-minute walk from JR Furano Station. We came in mid-August and managed to alight at Nakafurano station. From here it is less than 10 mins walk to reach the many Farm fields.
Farm Tomita boost lavender and flower fields with the Tokachi mountain range as backdrop, making it spectacular view! At the extensive Farm one will find a variety of stunning flower fields, including the expansive 5-hectare lavender field and other charming gardens. We were late as the optimal time to visit Farm Tomita is from late June to early August, as this is when the garden's flowers are in full bloom. The popular farm is free to enter and besides the flower fields has cafes and shops that sell a wide range of lavender related products.
The season for Lavender is short and the extensive purplish field has turned to some bare earth as they get ready for Sunflower season.. only some rows we have the Lavender.
Still we try to enjoy the most we can, we walk over to Nakafurano Flower Park (separate review) side and tried the lavender ice cream, took the 500 yen chairlift ride to the top for panoramic views of Furano at this higher level..
The train here is limited in service and we waited a while at the small station. Instead of returning we went towards Ashahikawa instead.
Farm Tomita is renowned for both its lavenders and also for a diverse range of flowers. Perhaps we should make a return visit again, at another seasons/month..
